Listening and thinking (Discovery Phase)
Every creative process begins with a lot of input. We start by gathering information. Inspiration and insight can come from anywhere so we ask a lot of questions and dig through sources from customers, competitors and even unrelated industries. All this information creates a mental stew with a rich variety of spices and flavors.
Playing and creating (Schematic Design Phase)
This could also be called our ruminating phase. All the information we’ve gathered ferments, and the sketching and brainstorming commences. Here we come up with ideas. Good, bad, even terrible ideas. But from the mess of crumpled papers a Big Idea emerges.
Making it real (Design Development Phase)
Here we figure out how to turn the Big Idea into a real, working app. We refine the user interface. We test prototypes to make sure the app does what it’s supposed to do and then we make the necessary adjustments to prepare the final concept and design to “make it happen.”
Making it happen (Construction Phase)
The code. Our super smart, highly focused crew of developers writes the code that runs the app. They test it and then they test it some more. When it’s ready they go through the steps required to make the app available for distribution.
Marching in the parade (Promotion Phase)
There are millions of apps calling out for our attention, and your app has to rise above a lot of noise. During this phase we implement a marketing program to promote your app, helping it reach the right users. If it’s an enterprise app we’ll create an internal launch and training program.
… and begin again
An app is never done. As soon as it’s live, you’ll receive feedback with problems to solve or ideas for improvements to include in future updates. This is when the “listening and thinking” phase begins again and the process repeats.
